Contract: $ 304,231.00
Square Footage: 1,560
Location: Supai, Arizona
Job Summary:
The Supai Jail Renovation was constructed in one of the most remote locations in America.
Project consisted of the remodel of 1300 sq. ft. jail, the addition
of a 260 sq. ft. entry control area, concrete exercise areas, and
security fencing. Project was extremely remote (bottom of
Grand Canyon) and required airlift (helicopter) of all material
and subcontractors. Due to airlift requirements project required
very close coordination with all subcontractors, intense planning
for all material/supply deliveries, imaginative procurement of
living quarters, and strong utilization of local tradesmen. Building
design (concrete slab, CMU, and metal roof) was not compromised
due to remote location, was constructed as specified,
and completed on time.
